At Wonderland, we believe in educating the whole child!
Friends of Wonderland (FOW) was started in 1991 by dedicated parents who believed that a public school education should include more than our district can offer. We believe that the Arts, Physical Education, Social-Emotional Learning, innovative Classroom Technology, Professional Development for our teachers and much more, aid our students in achieving academic and civic excellence.
It is only because of the donations of our "Friends," that Wonderland has Music, Art, Gardening, PE, and Way of Council, our social-emotional curriculum, as well as a full-time Librarian, and Teaching Assistants in every classroom. Your FOW donations provide our students with new books in the library and classroom each year, and updated instructional technology for every student. Our teachers benefit from ongoing training in CGI Mathematics, Reader's & Writer's Workshop, Instructional Technology and Responsive Classroom Training--learning that they apply directly to our classrooms and their teaching. At Wonderland, we also believe that teachers should not spend their own money on supplies. Each teacher has a classroom supply budget. FOW provides for all of this and much more.
Our Annual Giving Campaign is the cornerstone of our annual budget that provides every child at Wonderland with an enriched education focused on teaching to the whole child. By becoming a Friend of Wonderland, you are investing in the future of your child, and enriching the hearts and minds of all our students.
